Two things are for sure, Sam Briggs is one of the fittest people on Earth and she’s got an equally fun loving demeanor. Growing up in Leeds, England, Sam’s background is overflowing with performance. She played Northern Premiership League soccer and even competed in triathlons. She has since had international success in fitness. She made her debut to the CrossFit Games in 2010 and later went on to win the title Fittest on Earth in 2013.

As a staple in the performance world, Sam is exploring the limits of her potential in CrossFit at the highest level.

Aja is a Houston native and three-time Reebok CrossFit games athlete. He was introduced to CrossFit by the strength and conditioning coach of the Texas Rangers in 2010. Since then he has become a top CrossFit athlete and has trained with some of the best CrossFit athletes and alongside the top coaches in this sport.

Aja graduated from Tulane University playing 3 years for the Green Wave along with a few years with the Texas Rangers minor league organization. He is passionate about working with individuals who are determined and committed to living their best lives possible. Through this bond, he believes the possibilities are unlimited for ANYTHING to be achieved.

Nate was born and grew up in Nebraska. When he was 21, he moved to Santa Fe, NM where he found Undisputed Fitness. Initially just wanting to get in shape, he started going to cardio boxing classes. In 2008 he started doing Jiu Jitsu Jitsu and CrossFit. It was there that he found his true passion and purpose. He’s been competing in Jiu Jitsu since 6 months after he started and plans to do so for as long as he’s physically able to. He holds an MMA record of 2-0 and is a purple belt under Tait Fletcher in the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu system.

As a CrossFit, Strongman, and Jiu Jitsu coach at Undisputed, Nate’s life is dedicated to health, fitness, and martial arts. Having won and placed in several Jiu Jitsu tournaments across the country, he has aspirations to compete at the highest levels of his sport.

James Sides was born in Austin, Texas in October of 1982. He grew up in Gainesville, FL and played various sports in high school. In 2002 James enlisted into the Marine Corps. During his 12 years in the Marine Corps James deployed multiple times to both Iraq and Afghanistan. In July of 2012 James was injured while conducting a Counter-Improvised Explosive Device mission, resulting in the loss of his right hand and leaving him blind in the left eye.

James is currently competing and training to make the US Para Snowboard Team. He is currently ranked 9th in the world in the upper limb division and is a potential for the team next year.

Mark Meisberger competes in the US Cup Mountain Bike Cross Country race series in Southern California. Following two knee surgeries Mark switched from distance running to Mountain Biking. You will often find him climbing the hills in and around the Mountain Bike mecca of Laguna Beach. At 55, Cross training, good nutrition and the ongoing search for balance are essential to this entrepreneur and married father of three. Mark is most proud of his wife and family of junior athletes and leading by example as a competitive athlete.

Karis is a weightlifter with a bright future in the sport. Born in San Antonio, TX, Karis would later earn a volleyball scholarship. It was playing volleyball in college where she fell in love with the barbell. Making waves competing in CrossFit, Karis is now focused on the sport of weightlifting. Lifestyle, nutrition, and her love for training have guided her success in her sport.

Taylor was born on 14 March 1990 in London, England while her father was stationed there on active duty with the United States Marine Corps. She was raised south of Nashville in Franklin, Tn. She competed as a Varsity athlete at the University of Louisville where her team took three National titles out of four years for competitive cheerleading. She received her Bachelor of Science with a degree in Exercise Science. She was commissioned a Second lieutenant in the Marine Corps on 12 May 2012 becoming a third generation Marine.

During her years of cheering she spent the summers traveling throughout the US teaching high school and college cheer camps for the National Cheerleading Association. Throughout college and the year following, prior to attending TBS, she coached strength and conditioning as well as CrossFit. Taylor’s first experience as a coach was in 2011 with Derby City CrossFit. She later moved to Cincinnati as the head CrossFit Coach for CrossFit Conjugate. Taylor has coached on staff with Shane and Laura Phelps Sweatt, as well as AJ Roberts in teaching the Westside Barbell Powerlifting Certifications for CrossFit. Taylor competed in several CrossFit, Powerlifting, and Olympic lifting competitions. She competed as an individual athlete in the CrossFit Games Regional competition for the Central East region in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2012 and in 2013. Prior to the basic school and upon arrival in Camp Pendleton she competed in the SoCal Region as a team athlete in 2014.

Taylor is currently a first lieutenant in the Marine Corps stationed here at Camp Pendleton. She is a hardworking, determined athlete with a contagious ambitious mindset. She hopes to continue to educate individuals on her passion of strength and conditioning at Pariah CrossFit and for many years to come.

Katie Uhlaender is a Team USA contender for both the summer and winter Olympic Games. She’ll be just the 9th person in history to accomplish the feat. With a successful career in the skeleton, Katie is looking to pad her resume in the summer Games in weightlifting as well. Katie is from Vail, Colorado and is the daughter of the late Ted Uhlaender, who played Major League Baseball. Katie is a restless worker who finds herself tending to her ranch duties when she’s not weightlifting or training on the ice.

Christopher Algieri graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degree in Health Care Science. After earning is undergraduate degree, he went on to receive his Masters in Clinical Nutrition (M.S.) at New York Institute of Technology. He currently is finishing up his Pre-Medical prerequisite coursework while studying for the MCAT.

Christopher is an Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN) by the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) and a NESTA Certified Fitness Nutrition Coach. He has worked closely with many top combat athletes in Boxing, MMA, and Kickboxing. While completing his undergraduate study, Christopher competed in Full-Contact Kickboxing and went on to close an undefeated professional kickboxing career of 20 wins with no losses. During his kickboxing career he accumulated many regional and international titles that culminated with two World Championship Titles (ISKA and WKA) in two different weight divisions. After retiring from the sport of Kickboxing at the age of 23, Christopher decided to turn to professional boxing. He is currently undefeated (14-0) and is looking to vie for the Junior Welterweight World Title.


Kristin Thomas is regular on the Stand Up Paddle Race Scene. With over almost 70 races under her belt – over half being wins or podium finishes – you will often spot her on the Pacific Ocean or inland waterways of Southern California. Cross Training, good nutrition and the ongoing search for balance are essential to this working, happily married, mother or three. She is most proud of being a competitive, sponsored athlete, and helping to grow the sport of stand up paddling.

#1 Professional Female Stand Up Paddleboarder (Eastern U.S.) Helga’s interest in water sports began with windsurfing when she was just 16 years old. Her father used to windsurf and she couldn’t wait to learn it. She moved to Fort Lauderdale and was driving down US-1 and saw Water-Play, biggest windsurfing store in the area. She applied for a job and while working there, her interest in Kite-Surfing grew. Helga has become a an avid Kite-Surfer and has a love for all water sports. At the Fort Lauderdale Tiki Beach Watersport concession, she was first introduced to Stand Up Paddle Board (AKA SUP). She quickly excelled at the sport and Helga’s first SUP race was a life guard paddle series. The desire to compete pushes her to take part in over 50 races each year.
